When asked why the upcoming project in Ireland is so important, I find myself searching for words that would explain this overwhelming desire to connect and complete a circle that will likely evolve into another circle and more questions. Everyone should know the indelible imprint that Ireland has made on the music of America. But I wonder if they understand the depth of Ireland's contribution to the evolution of jazz?
